You know where you stand
It starts with a measurement, not a proposal. You see in black and white which AI answers name your company and which do not, with a date and a question set.
You have an SEO programme, it runs, and clicks still fall while positions hold. AI SEO answers how much of that comes from the AI elements in search and what helps against it. Not a new programme, a conversion of the existing one.

Visibility and click loss
Two figures side by side: organic visibility as before, and clicks per position compared with earlier. Only together do they show what is happening.
AI SEO is search engine optimisation under the condition that a generated answer sits above the results. The search engine stays the same, the target shifts: from position alone to whether your result is still seen and clicked.
This page is deliberately the bridge. Anyone running SEO for years needs no fresh start, but an honest stocktake: which pages lose clicks and why, which technical points now weigh more, which content has to be built differently.
Much of that is good old craft under new conditions. The genuinely new part sits in the measurement and in handling answer surfaces. If you also want to appear inside chatbots, you need GEO on top.
How it runs
Lay positions and clicks per page against each other and strip out seasonality. Only then is the share caused by AI elements clear.
Reachable for the AI providers' crawlers, structured data, clean markup, stable addresses.
Pages whose clicks an answer box intercepts get a reason to click: a calculator, a comparison, data, experience. Anything that only supplies a definition loses.
Some pages will never reach their old click numbers again and are still valuable, because they get quoted.
Boundaries
AI SEO stays inside the search engine. If your aim is being named in ChatGPT, Perplexity or Claude, this is not enough: those systems draw on different signals, above all sources outside your domain.
Then GEO is the right frame. Anyone starting from zero without an SEO programme to build on needs the groundwork first and is better served by GEO as a full programme.
Common questions
Difference
Not a judgement on individual agencies, but a description of two approaches. The right column is checkable, because this website itself is built that way.
| Difference | Usual agency approach | agenticsearch.at |
|---|---|---|
| Starting point | A proposal after a first call | A measurement with a date, before anything gets recommended |
| Basis | Keywords from classic search | A question set of real prompts, clustered and prioritised |
| Proof of success | Rankings and a visibility index | Mentions per question and system, with the raw data |
| Reporting | A monthly dashboard with curves | The same measurement repeated, change called only after three runs |
| When unsure | Try it and see what happens | We say what is not evidenced, and write it on the page |
| Tooling | Agency licences, access ends with the contract | The question set and the data are yours, afterwards too |
| Scope | As many channels as possible from one supplier | A capped number of concurrent projects, otherwise we turn it down |
Your guides
You know your business, your customers and your offer better than any agency does. What is usually missing is solid numbers on how AI systems talk about it, and an order in which to tackle that.
The number of concurrent projects is capped. When a piece of work needs more capacity than exists, we turn it down rather than take it on.

It starts with a measurement, not a proposal. You see in black and white which AI answers name your company and which do not, with a date and a question set.
02
Instead of a list of everything, you get an order. Every step has a result you can verify yourself, including without us.
03
Your offer and your positioning stay yours. We tell you what stands in the way of visibility and take on the technical part of it.
